Why the order matters

Turnovers are short, and the window between check-out and check-in rarely leaves room for second passes. Working in a fixed order, top to bottom and room by room, means nothing gets forgotten and the next guest walks into the same standard as the last one. That consistency is what shows up in your cleanliness rating.

Bedroom

• Strip the beds and start the laundry first, so it’s running while you clean.
• Make the beds with fresh linen and check under them for anything left behind.
• Dust surfaces, bedside tables and lamps; empty the bins.
• Check wardrobes and drawers for forgotten items.

Bathroom

• Clean the shower, bath, toilet and sink, including taps and drains.
• Wipe mirrors and glass so there are no marks or water spots.
• Replace towels and bath mats with fresh ones.
• One hair on the floor can become a review: check the corners last.

Kitchen

• Wash and put away any dishes, and wipe the countertops, hob and sink.
• Check the fridge and remove anything the last guests left.
• Wipe the microwave and small appliances guests use the most.
• Take out the trash and recycling.

Living room and balcony

• Vacuum and wash the floors, under the sofa included.
• Plump cushions and fold throws the way your listing photos show them.
• Sweep the balcony and wipe the outdoor furniture.

Restock the basics

Toilet paper, soap and coffee run out at the worst moment. Keep a fixed list of what every stay should start with, and restock it at every turnover, not when it’s empty.

Final check and a photo

Walk through every room as if you were the guest. Then take a photo of the ready apartment: it’s your proof of how the place was left, and it lets you check everything without going there.

When to hand it off

If you host more than one property, or you’re not in Israel, turnovers are easier to delegate.
